## ICE officer hits man with SUV
Texas prosecutors are investigating whether an Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer intentionally struck a man with a vehicle in Houston over the weekend.
## Victim was undocumented immigrant
Miguel Parra Hernandez, a forty-eight-year-old undocumented immigrant, was driving to work Saturday morning when federal authorities attempted to pull him over in unmarked vehicles.
## Parra Hernandez and passenger ran
Parra Hernandez stopped his car and he and his passenger attempted to run away. Surveillance footage shows the two men running while an SUV veers and hits Parra Hernandez.
## ICE's account differs from video
ICE said Parra Hernandez was struck after he ran in front of an unmarked car. However, surveillance footage from the incident shows the SUV veering toward the running men.
## Victim's injuries are severe
Parra Hernandez's leg was broken in three places as a result of the collision. He will need to undergo surgery, according to Cesar Espinosa, executive director of immigrant rights group FIEL Houston.
## Advocates demand transparency
FIEL Houston called for answers about agent identities and whether charges would be filed. Espinosa said the community needs to know if there are charges for the wrongdoing committed.

> We demand answers and transparency from all agencies involved.
## DA opens investigation Monday
Harris County District Attorney Sean Teare, a Democrat, announced his office had opened an investigation into the alleged use of force and requested assistance from the community.
## Teare criticizes ICE tactics
Teare said ICE tactics in the community are growing more brazen and dangerous. High-speed pursuits and aggressive operations on busy streets put everyone at risk, he stated.

> ICE tactics in our community are growing more brazen and more dangerous.
## Charges expected soon
Teare told ABC thirteen on Tuesday he believed the ICE agent intentionally struck Parra Hernandez with his vehicle. A charging decision is expected in a relatively short order in this case.
