## Daniels dislocates elbow in loss
Washington's QB dislocated his left elbow late in the first half against Dallas on Sunday after being stepped on by a teammate and falling on his outstretched arm.
## Same elbow injured last season
This is the second time Daniels has dislocated the same elbow. He missed 10 games last year due to injuries after a stellar rookie season in 2024.
## No timetable for return
Coach Dan Quinn says Daniels underwent imaging Monday and will consult with multiple experts over the next few days, but there's no timeline for his comeback.
## Mariota steps in as starter
Marcus Mariota will start Sunday against defending Super Bowl champion Seattle. The former second overall pick has thrown 15 touchdown passes against 7 interceptions with the Commanders.
## Tough matchup for backup QB
Mariota faces a Seattle team on a 12-game winning streak dating back to last season. The Seahawks are the defending Super Bowl champions.
## Quinn rallies around Mariota
Coach Quinn praised Daniels' performance before the injury and expressed confidence in Mariota, saying the team will rally around him until Daniels returns.

> I thought he was really playing his ass off, and we will rally so hard around Marcus until Jayden's back.
## Key takeaway

Jayden Daniels dislocated his left elbow in Sunday's loss to Dallas and will miss at least the next game, with Marcus Mariota taking over as starter against Seattle.
