## Sixers land Jaylen Brown
New Sixers President Mike Gansey traded Paul George to Boston and acquired five-time All-Star Jaylen Brown, who finished sixth in NBA MVP voting last season.
## LeBron James joins the party
The Sixers added LeBron James to a roster already featuring Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey, and VJ Edgecombe, creating one of the most talented starting lineups in recent NBA history.
## Brown's Boston dominance
With Jayson Tatum sidelined, Brown carried the Celtics to 56 wins and a shocking 3-1 series collapse against the Sixers in the playoffs.
## The offensive puzzle
Brown excels at self-created scoring but lacks a proven track record elsewhere offensively, creating a key question about his role alongside four other talented scorers.
## LeBron's dominant style
James is a downhill driver, post force, and brilliant passer who will demand significant offensive touches in the starting lineup.
## Maxey's dual threat
Tyrese Maxey gets to the rim with ease and shoots with incredible range and accuracy, both as a pull-up and spot-up shooter.
## Embiid's versatility
Joel Embiid dominates from the post and nail while creating value as a passer, adding another layer of offensive complexity.
## Brown needs an off-ball role
Coach Nick Nurse must find creative ways to use Brown as a spot-up shooter, play finisher, and cutter rather than keeping him as the primary ball handler.
## Spot-up shooting opportunity
Brown can improve as a three-point shooter with more selectivity and off-ball opportunities in this star-laden lineup.
## Rim finishing potential
Brown's size and athleticism at the rim can be utilized as a play finisher rather than a creator, maximizing his explosive nature.
## Brown's defensive strength
Brown excels as an on-ball defender against guards and wings, using his athleticism, strength, and pride to lock down opponents one-on-one.
## Off-ball defense concern
Brown struggles with off-ball engagement and gets beaten on back-cuts, a critical issue on a defensive-minded roster.
## Defensive role clarity
The Sixers likely plan for Brown to defend top wings while VJ Edgecombe handles top guards, though lineups will shift throughout games.
## No more Maxey defense
Brown benefits from no longer having to defend Tyrese Maxey in practice, allowing him to focus on external opponents.
## Championship window opens
The Sixers are built to be full-blown championship contenders for however long LeBron James remains in Philadelphia.
## Key takeaway

Brown must adapt his ball-dominant scoring style to fit alongside LeBron James, Joel Embiid, and Tyrese Maxey while tightening his off-ball defense.
