## Judge at Tropicana Field
Aaron Judge turned a corner at Tropicana Field on Friday, wearing workout gear and acknowledging Yankees teammates.
## Calf injury delays ALDS spot
Judge's strained right calf hasn't healed enough for him to claim a spot on the Yankees' 26-man ALDS roster.
## Manager's concerns
Manager Aaron Boone said Judge needs time to ramp up running and moving before the ALDS, not pinch-hitting.
## Injury timeline
Judge strained his soleus muscle on Sept. 16, missing 84 games earlier this season with a fractured right rib.
## Recovery efforts
Judge received a platelet-poor plasma injection in late September and participated in workouts before the ALDS.
## Team strategy
The Yankees opted for an 11-man pitching staff in the ALDS, adding Ryan Weathers and leaving off Amed Rosario.
## Next steps
Judge's return would complicate the Yankees' DH rotation, but he remains a key player for the ALDS.
## Key takeaway

Aaron Judge remains inactive for Yankees' ALDS after a calf injury prevents him from claiming a roster spot.
