## Caminero's walk-off blast
Junior Caminero hit his second walk-off in five days Tuesday against Oakland, wrapping his 41st home run around the right field foul pole to win 2-1.
## MVP race heating up
Caminero is chasing Houston's Yordan Alvarez for AL MVP honors. The 23-year-old is hitting .279 with 41 home runs, 96 RBIs, and a .900 OPS this season.
## The slowest trot ever
Caminero took over 40 seconds to round the bases, high-fiving teammates down the first base line in a deliberately leisurely victory lap that went viral.

> I grew up watching David Ortiz absolutely milk home run trots, but I'm not sure I've ever seen one quite like that.
## No MLB rule against it
Despite childhood warnings, there is no MLB rule preventing teammates from touching the batter before he reaches home plate. College baseball strictly enforces this rule, but the majors do not.

> No such rule exists in Major League Baseball. True story.
## Social media splits
Most fans loved Caminero's swagger and confidence, while some traditionalists called for him to get drilled in the ribs during the next game.
## Key takeaway

Junior Caminero's deliberately slow home run trot after his walk-off blast became a viral moment that showcased his confidence and personality.
