## The gloves stayed on
Travis Kelce snapped at a fan who tried to pull one of his catching gloves during pregame at Arrowhead. Whatever he was saving them for, it wasn't a souvenir grab.

## How it started
Cameras caught Kelce walking toward the home locker room after warmups, peeling off his gloves and working the wall of outstretched hands with high fives and fist bumps.
## One fan wanted more
At least one hand in the crowd went for the glove instead of the bump. Kelce smacked the hands away with his opposite arm and looked up at the fans who did it.

## An edge he's known for
This fits a pattern. Kelce plays with an edge, most memorably in his sideline confrontation with head coach Andy Reid during the 2024 Super Bowl.
## A Kelce family habit
Jason Kelce had his own fan moment after retiring, smashing a Penn State student's phone after the student aimed a homophobic slur at Travis.
## The night worked out anyway
Kansas City rolled Denver 31-10. Kelce caught just three passes for 71 yards and became the franchise's second-leading receiver, with Taylor Swift watching beside Tom Cruise.
## Key takeaway

Kelce will hand out high fives all day, but grabbing at his gear gets your hand smacked away.
