## An ex liked it
Some commenters also spotted that Chase Stokes liked the post. Ballerini and the Outer Banks actor dated about three years before their 2026 split.
## A marriage before Stokes
Before Stokes, Ballerini was married to country singer Morgan Evans for nearly five years. She filed for divorce in August 2022.
## Divorce without glamour
Ballerini later said she does not want divorce treated as a victory lap. When fans bring divorce signs to shows, she first asks if they are OK.

## Songs told the fallout
Her 2023 album Rolling Up the Welcome Mat traced the end of her marriage, with tracks including Blindsided, Mountain with a View and Penthouse.
## Key takeaway

Ballerini's birthday post became a quick snapshot of her public image now, confident, watched by fans, and still linked to past romances.
