## Lacy stayed put
Kewan Lacy could have followed Lane Kiffin to LSU before the 2026 season, but the Ole Miss running back chose to remain with the Rebels.
## Kiffin returns to Oxford
Ole Miss will host Kiffin and LSU on Saturday night in a charged matchup at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.
## No warm welcome
Kiffin left Ole Miss before last year's College Football Playoff, and his return is expected to draw a cold reaction from Rebels fans.
## Lacy keeps distance
Asked about his relationship with Kiffin, Lacy made clear he is not focused on their past connection.

> Really don't have a relationship with him
## Ole Miss starts fast
The Rebels opened 2026 with wins over Louisville and Charlotte. Lacy led the team with 148 rushing yards and three touchdowns across the two games.
## LSU is rolling too
Kiffin's LSU tenure has also started strong, with wins over Clemson and Louisiana Tech before Saturday's 7:30 p.m. ET kickoff.
## Key takeaway

Kewan Lacy stayed at Ole Miss after Lane Kiffin left, and he is treating the LSU reunion as business.
