## Labour uniform plan
Labour wants cheaper school uniforms and generic alternatives to reduce family costs.

> Families are already stretched, and school costs can push household budgets to the limit
## Rural bus routes
Labour will restore 43 rural school bus routes by 2028 and bring back local lunches.

> Getting an education shouldn't come with a price tag that puts families under pressure
## Affordability focus
Schools must track uniform costs and use generic options to meet requirements without branding.

> If a plain navy polo does the job, parents shouldn't have to pay more for the branded version
## Key takeaway

Labour will cut school uniform costs by allowing generic options and restore rural school buses by 2028.
