## Labour policy on flight pricing
Labour says it will force airlines to show real prices up front and automatic refunds for flight cancellations or significant changes.

> Flying is expensive, and on many regional routes there is little or no competition
## Regional flight competition issue
Labour commerce and consumer affairs spokesperson Arena Williams said smaller airlines need fair access to airport facilities to compete without barriers.

> Smaller airlines shouldn't have to compete with one hand tied behind their backs
## Government funding context
Earlier this week, the government offered $5.7 million from the Regional Infrastructure Fund to help regional airlines manage costs.
## Key takeaway

Labour will require airlines to display true prices upfront and automatic refunds for flight changes.
