## Ten meets in four months
Danish Iftikhar has competed in nine consecutive meets since May. The Asian Games from Sept 19-Oct 4 will be his tenth competition of the season.
## Mentally ready, physically drained
The 19-year-old sprinter says he's 100 per cent prepared mentally but admits his body has taken a beating from the demanding schedule.

> Alhamdulillah, mentally I am 100 per cent prepared. But physically, not at 100 per cent because of back-to-back competitions
## Week of rehabilitation helped
Danish underwent a week-long rehab program at UPSI and the National Sports Institute. His physical fitness improved from 60-70 per cent to 80-100 per cent.
## Fresh off gold in Oman
At the 2026 Muscat Grand Prix, Danish and his teammates won the men's 4x100m gold medal with a time of 39.18 seconds.
## Three events at Asian Games
The 2025 SEA Games bronze medallist will compete in the 200m, men's 4x100m relay, and mixed 4x100m relay at Aichi-Nagoya.
## Training camp in Japan
Danish left for Sendai, Japan for a centralised training camp under national sprint head coach Thabo Matebedi ahead of his continental debut.
## Staying healthy is the priority
With his Asian Games debut approaching, Danish says his main focus is avoiding injury and making the most of his opportunity on the continental stage.
