## Cut-Resistant Rope Deal
Mammut's Alpine Core Protect rope is 40% off at Backcountry until 11:59 p.m. MT on Wednesday, October 7.
## Why This Rope Works
The rope uses aramid, a hardy fiber known for cut resistance, to protect against sharp edges without reducing fall elasticity.
## Rope Features
Available in 8.0mm half rope and 9.5mm single rope, it has a dry treatment and dyed middle mark for alpine use.
## Test Results
Testers found the rope surprisingly durable, surviving whippers including a swinging gear-ripper in Patagonia with zero core shots.
## Sale Details
Only the 8mm diameter is on sale; the 9.5mm version remains full price with 30m and 50m options in two colors.
## Key takeaway

Mammut's Alpine Core Protect rope is 40% off at Backcountry until 11:59 p.m. MT on Oct 7, offering cut resistance for alpine climbing.
