## Manchester United's manager problem
Manchester United set for yet another managerial change; it will be the 12th manager since Sir Alex Ferguson if Michael Carrick is sacked.
## Michael Carrick's interim role
Michael Carrick joined Man United as an interim manager in January 2026 after the club had struggled with previous manager Ruben Amorim.
## Carrick's early success
Carrick quickly turned things around for the Red Devils, winning back-to-back games against Arsenal and Manchester City and taking the club to third in the standings by the end of the season.
## Current struggles
After 11 matches, the team has only won two of them, against Ipswich in the Premier League and Sabah in the Champions League, putting pressure on Carrick to deliver or face the sack.
## Manager list since Ferguson
Manchester United has had 11 managers/head coaches since the exit of Sir Alex Ferguson, including the current manager, Michael Carrick.
## Upcoming manager change
If Michael Carrick is shown the door, he would become one of the several managers to be sacked since Sir Alex Ferguson retired, having guided the team to the 2012-13 Premier League title.
## Key takeaway

Manchester United's current manager Michael Carrick may be sacked after 11 matches with only two wins, making him the 12th coach since Sir Alex Ferguson.
