## Second week, second blowout
Maryland followed a 62-point opener against Hampton with a 38-14 win over UConn in front of 34,494 at Pratt and Whitney Stadium. The Terps are 2-0.
## Down early, then relentless
UConn led 7-0 in the first quarter. Maryland answered by scoring on six of its next eight drives, five touchdowns and a field goal.
## Washington was surgical
The sophomore quarterback went 34 of 41 for 347 yards and two scores, including 18 completions in a row, and hit eight different receivers.

> Malik was really efficient today.
## Everyone eats
Chris Durr Jr. caught a career-high 10 passes for 103 yards and a touchdown. Na'eem Abdul-Rahim Gladding had eight catches for a game-high 130 yards, including a 60-yard score on third-and-eight.
## Flow, not just speed
Michael Locksley wants 78 to 80 snaps a game so his playmakers all get touches. Maryland ran 78 plays and marched 92 and 91 yards on two scoring drives.

> It is more flow than tempo.
## Two streaks, one snapped
Maryland has now won 20 straight nonconference games, the longest run in the FBS. UConn's nine-game home winning streak at Pratt and Whitney, dating to October 2024, is over.
## Key takeaway

Maryland's plan is volume: 80 plays a game, the ball spread everywhere, and a quarterback who stays in rhythm.
