## A concert on the radio
Vatican Radio's programme Scrigno musicale airs a 45-minute recording by the 'Bella Musica' ensemble on Saturday, 12 September at 10 p.m. CET.
## Mozart's own violins
Recorded in the Vatican's Sala Assunta under conductor Stefan David Hummel, the programme is built around two violins Mozart once owned and played.
## Opening with Cosi fan tutte
The ensemble starts with the overture to Mozart's opera Cosi fan tutte, K. 588.
## A ten-year-old soloist
Shuxuan Jin, aged ten, plays the first movement of the Violin Concerto in G major, K. 216, on Mozart's childhood violin. Ida Gillesberger, 19, follows on the 'Costa' violin with K. 219.
## One guitar interlude
The only piece not by Mozart is Francisco Tarrega's Recuerdos de la Alhambra, a famous work for solo guitar.
## Jupiter, then a hushed encore
The fourth movement of Symphony No. 41, the 'Jupiter', closes the main programme. The encore is the motet Ave verum corpus, sung by a choir drawn from the ensemble.
## Key takeaway

Vatican Radio airs the 45-minute 'Bella Musica' concert at 10 p.m. CET on Saturday, 12 September.
