## The anti-woke Odyssey contest
Elon Musk promised Grok would deliver a "historically accurate" Odyssey, then built a contest around it. First prize: $100,000.
## The cyclops has three eyes
The winning film gives Polyphemus three eyes. A few cuts later the giant is roughly four times the size he was in the previous shot.
## Gods that look like mobile games
Poseidon rises from the sea cartoonish and impossibly muscled before smashing Odysseus's ship and its crew of photorealistic, ripped men.
## B-movie tells everywhere
Half the dialog arrives in dramatic whispers with identical cadence, and the fight scenes cut around the moments of impact to hide them.
## Historically accurate, except
Some Greek soldiers wear Roman legionnaire armor. The clips never add up to a coherent film, the same flaw that sinks every AI movie so far.

> this is 'The Odyssey' as Homer intended
## Musk never even replied
He boosted other contest entries but stayed silent on the winner. In all three top films, Odysseus is the same buff Antonio Banderas fantasy.

> Nolan desecrated Homer and groveled on his knees just to meet the woke rules required to win an Oscar.
## Key takeaway

AI video tools can produce a few passable shots, but they still can't hold a story together across five minutes.
