## Reacher's trusted ally
Frances Neagley is the person Jack Reacher trusts most across Lee Child's long-running novel series.

> Frances Neagley is perhaps the character Reacher trusts the most
## A rare returner
Reacher usually moves from place to place with few lasting allies. Neagley stands out because she returns across the books.

> one of the few to recur across 30 books
## Built for solitude
Reacher's lone-wolf status is as central as his physical presence. Too much partnership would change the engine of the series.

> Reacher’s lone wolf status is nearly as important as his size
## The spinoff problem
A Neagley-led show has a built-in tension. If she belongs beside Reacher too often, the story starts to feel like a duo act.

> the series would be Reacher & Neagley
## Pulpy but stretched
The review frames Amazon's spinoff as familiar fun, while warning that filler and character choices may weaken the ride.
## Key takeaway

Neagley works best as Reacher's rare recurring ally, but making her the lead changes the lone-wolf balance that defines the franchise.
