## Girls5eva canceled after three seasons
Netflix canceled Girls5eva after two successful seasons on Peacock and one on Netflix, ending in December 2024.
## The show's four main characters
Dawn (Sara Bareilles), Summer (Busy Philipps), Gloria (Paula Pell), and Wickie (Renée Elise Goldsberry) form the core group.
## Girls5eva's critical success
The show earned a 98% critics' score for Season 1, 95% for Season 2, and a perfect 100% for Season 3 on Netflix.
## The cast's unique chemistry
Sara Bareilles, Busy Philipps, Paula Pell, and Renée Elise Goldsberry have wildly different comedic rhythms but strong friendship dynamics.
## The show's themes
Girls5eva takes a comical stance on pop culture, women's oppression, the cult of celebrity, and the entertainment industry's obsession with youth.
## Season 3's limited runtime
Season 3 had to sprint through material that could have supported a much longer run, ending with the women performing at Radio City Music Hall.
## What happens next
A fourth season could explore the group's newfound attention, their children's lives, deeper past stories, or more absurd decisions together.
## Key takeaway

Netflix canceled Girls5eva after three seasons despite its 100% critics' score and strong cast chemistry, suggesting a fourth season could revive the show.
