## Ravens and Cowboys heading to Rio
The NFL will host Baltimore and Dallas at Maracaña Stadium in Rio de Janeiro on Sunday, marking the league's first game in Brazil.
## Field quality concerns won't stop the game
Despite worries about the grass at Maracaña, the NFL intends to proceed with the matchup as scheduled. The field is expected to look poor on television.

> If/when it does, expect the field to not look great on TV.
## Teams need early field access
Getting players on the grass early will be critical so they can choose appropriate footwear for the playing conditions.
## Looks bad, plays fine
The field's appearance on television won't necessarily reflect how it plays. Some poor-looking fields perform well, while others look fine but play poorly.

> How it looks and how it plays will be two different things.
## International growth trumps field quality
The NFL's commitment to expanding globally is strong enough that grass quality won't derail the Brazil game. The league prioritizes international presence over cosmetic concerns.

> The obsession with international growth is strong.
## Key takeaway

The NFL is prioritizing international expansion over field quality concerns for its first game in Brazil.
