## Nikon cuts the viewfinder
Nikon announced the Z5 IIC, a 24-megapixel full-frame mirrorless camera without an electronic viewfinder. It keeps nearly all features of the Z5 II, including RAW internal video.
## Lighter and more compact
Removing the electronic viewfinder made the Z5 IIC lighter and smaller. It weighs just 537 grams, nearly 25 percent lighter than the 700 gram Z5 II, yet retains a full-sized grip.
## Flip-out screen for vloggers
The Z5 IIC has a fully articulating 3.2-inch 1040K dot touch display ideal for solo shooters. It supports 4K video at 30 fps supersampling from the full 6K sensor width, or 4K 60 fps with a 1.5x crop.
## RAW video and advanced features
The Z5 IIC can capture video in Nikon's N-RAW format with N-Log, plus H.265 support. It includes in-body stabilization with 7.5 stops of shake reduction, fish subject detection, and a product review mode.
## Strong for photography too
The Z5 IIC supports 14 fps burst speeds with continuous autofocus or 30 fps JPEG only in electronic shutter mode. The expanded ISO range goes up to ISO 64,000 for low-light performance.
## Available now at one thousand four hundred dollars
The Nikon Z5 IIC is on preorder for one thousand four hundred dollars for the body only. A bundle with the Z 24-50mm f/4.3-5.3 kit lens costs one thousand seven hundred dollars.

> a veritable bargain for a full-frame camera
## Key takeaway

Nikon announced the Z5 IIC, a cheaper full-frame mirrorless camera without an electronic viewfinder, priced at one thousand four hundred dollars for the body only.
