## First game of the season
Taylor Swift turned up at Arrowhead Stadium for Chiefs vs Broncos, her first official NFL appearance this season, in Travis Kelce's suite.
## An odd guest list
She sat with Donna Kelce, Andrea Swift, and Jason Kelce. Also there, for reasons nobody quite explained: Tom Cruise.

## The claim takes off
Cameras cut to her all game, and fans froze a clip where she seemed to be asking the broadcast not to film her. "Don't show me" spread fast.
## A lip reader looks closer
Nicola Hickling told The Mirror the footage shows nothing of the sort. Swift was talking about the play in front of her.
## What she actually said
Hickling's read: "Oh, he's open. He's open. Get off him, jeez." Not a plea to the camera crew, just someone yelling at a defense.

> Oh, he's open. He's open. Get off him, jeez.
## She's there for the football
The simplest explanation held up. Swift goes to these games to watch them, so the field had her attention, not the jumbotron.
## Key takeaway

A viral read of someone's lips is a guess, and this one fell apart the second an expert looked at it.
