The Pentagon spent tens of millions of dollars on the AAWSAP program from 2008 to 2012.
## Futuristic technology
The program researched space-age materials including metallic glass, warp drive, cloaking devices and laser weapons.
## Warp drive concept
The experimental craft would travel to distant planets by creating a warp bubble that contracts spacetime in front and expands it behind.
## Cloaking device
The files reviewed ideas for making objects harder to see by bending or hiding light, heat or radar signals.
## Laser weapons
Researchers surveyed high-powered laser weapons and their development over the years.
## Bigelow Aerospace
Robert Bigelow founded Bigelow Aerospace and Budget Suites of America with a strong interest in UFOs and government transparency.
