## Century-old show forced into lockdown
The Kelmscott Agricultural Show, running for more than one hundred years, locked down about five pm on Saturday after fights between youths escalated throughout the day.
## Dozens attempt to breach the gates
Between fifty and seventy juveniles tried to enter the venue at Rushton Park on River Road in Kelmscott. Some walked between entrances looking for weak points and cut fences and cable ties.
## Society president calls trouble disappointing
Kelmscott Agricultural Society president Daryl Dawes said it was the first lockdown in his eight years as president. He said security ejected anyone who got in very quickly.

Police arrived and the crowd dispersed quickly.Police received reports of a large group of juveniles causing a disturbance just after four pm.No charges were laid, but one juvenile received a caution for disorderly behaviour.
