## Top 10 showdown in Oxford
Ole Miss hosts LSU this Saturday in a massive early-season matchup. Both teams are ranked in the top 10.
## Kiffin returns to face old team
Lane Kiffin comes back as LSU's head coach after leaving Ole Miss. Expect an extra-hostile environment at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.
## Distractions could cost the Rebels
Pete Golding knows his team can't get consumed with the hype. LSU has already proven it's one of the best teams in the country.
## Like high school homecoming weekend
Golding compared the LSU game to a high school homecoming. The buzz in Oxford will be massive, with plenty of animosity mixed in.

> To me, it's like high school homecoming for these dudes.
## Focus on the wrong things
Golding warned his players bluntly: if you focus on the wrong stuff, the homecoming dance isn't fun after getting beat on Friday night.

> Like, if you focus on the wrong shit, that homecoming dance ain't very fun after you get your butt beat on a Friday night.
## All the hype means nothing
The excitement around Vaught-Hemingway Stadium will be worthless if Ole Miss can't handle business on the field.
## Golding's chance to prove doubters wrong
After reaching the CFP semifinals with Kiffin's roster, Golding faced questions about his own recruiting. This is his moment to answer them.
## A statement win for the program
Beating Kiffin would give Ole Miss a massive CFP statement and show Golding is rising among the nation's best coaches.
## Key takeaway

Golding knows the hype around Kiffin's return could distract his team from the game itself, risking a loss that would ruin the entire weekend.
