## Macklemore gets dropped
Michael Rapaport celebrated Macklemore’s removal from Ed Sheeran’s tour after the rapper used opening sets to call for “Free Palestine” and perform “Hind’s Hall.”

> Macklemore don't rap no more, you got kicked off the tour.
## Rapaport unloads online
In a video on X, Rapaport called Macklemore anti-Jewish and said concertgoers came for music, not political claims about Israel and Gaza.

> Because when people come out to see a musical performer, you need to perform music
## October 7 enters it
Rapaport told Macklemore and other pro-Palestinian supporters to watch videos from the October 7 attacks, then closed his message with a Jewish New Year greeting.

> go back and watch some of these videos from Oct. 7
## Macklemore defended the speech
Before the removal, Macklemore said the tour gave him a stadium stage to say “Free Palestine” and tell people in Gaza and the West Bank they were not forgotten.

> two words that are very near and dear to my heart: Free Palestine
## Rapaport says it cost him
Rapaport, who is Jewish and speaks publicly in support of Israel, said his stance has hurt his comedy work and made venues and performers uncomfortable.

> The show's being boycotted. Sucks.
## Others criticized the decision
Some public figures objected to Macklemore being removed, including Twitch streamer Hasan Piker, who framed it as a free expression issue.

> we must not let this happen
## Key takeaway

Macklemore’s removal from Ed Sheeran’s tour became another flashpoint in the wider celebrity fight over Israel, Gaza, speech and backlash.
