## Reacher Spin-Off Plans
Lee Child confirmed Susan Turner could lead next Reacher spin-off on Prime Video after her role in Chain Reaction.

> I was glad that Andrew brought back Susan Turner. Good character, but also a spin-off opportunity because we've already got Neagley, and Amazon tends to want as much as possible if it's working.
## Susan Turner's Role
Turner now commands CSA G-99 Section, an elite military investigative unit that reports directly to the Army's Chief of Staff.
## Military Position
She operates as the Army's own FBI, a role that could sustain a TV series without Reacher appearing weekly.
## Reacher's Past
Turner previously worked with Reacher in the 110th Military Police Special Investigations Unit before he left the military.
## Chain Reaction
In Chain Reaction, Turner seeks Reacher's help after an investigator is murdered in a conspiracy involving AI and corporate espionage.
## Character Dynamics
Turner's promotion creates a dynamic where Reacher, a former military officer, defers to her as a general.
## Next Reacher Novel
Child will co-write Zero Margin, the first Frances Neagley novel, with Yasmin Angoe, arriving in Spring 2027.
## Reacher's Challenge
Child explained Reacher needs a convincing hook to return to stories without relying on coincidences.

> One of the main issues that, from a practical point of view, we have is, and this gets harder with every installment, you always need a mechanism, like a hook, to bring him into the story.
## Susan Turner's Strength
Turner is one of few people capable of operating alongside Reacher as an equal in military strategy.
## Prime Video Series
Prime Video's Reacher has already expanded with spin-off Neagley starring Maria Sten.
## Reacher's Current Status
Reacher is a civilian with the rank of major, while Turner has become a general in the military.
## Spin-Off Opportunity
Child believes Turner's expanded role provides Prime Video with another spin-off opportunity after Neagley.

> And so, do they want another spin-off? In which case, she'll do.
## Chain Reaction Details
Chain Reaction is the latest Jack Reacher novel, released October 20, 2026.
## Reacher's Past Work
Reacher has never been interested in putting down roots, but people he's encountered have become increasingly important to his world.
## Reacher's Next Move
Turner's role as a general creates a natural dynamic for a spin-off series without Reacher appearing weekly.
## Reacher Spin-Off Timeline
The next Reacher spin-off featuring Susan Turner is expected to launch after Zero Margin arrives in Spring 2027.
## Key takeaway

Lee Child says Susan Turner, played by Cobie Smulders, might get her own Prime Video series after becoming a general in the military.
