## Ronaldo leaves Portugal camp
Cristiano Ronaldo, forty-one, left Portugal's Nations League camp after being an unused substitute against Norway and learning he would not start against Denmark.
## Ronaldo's record and statement
The Al-Nassr forward has scored one hundred forty-six goals in two hundred thirty-four Portugal appearances, both world records. He wrote on social media he would tell the truth about his reasons for leaving.

> In due course, I will tell the truth to all the Portuguese people about my reasons for leaving the national team, to which I have always been dedicated.
## Jesus: door remains open
Manager Jorge Jesus, who also coached Ronaldo at Al-Nassr, says the veteran can return if he wants to. Jesus says Ronaldo will decide how and when his national team career ends.

> If he wants to, he'll return to the national team.
## Portugal beat Norway, advance
Portugal defeated Norway two-one on Sunday, sealing a place in the last eight of the Nations League as defending champions. They now lead Group A four by six points over Denmark.
## Teammates back Ronaldo return
Goalscorer Joao Cancelo called Ronaldo Portugal's best player ever. Teammate Nuno Mendes said any player returning to the team would be welcomed with open arms.

> Any player who comes to the national team is welcome, obviously. If Cris returns, we'll be here to receive him with open arms.
## Ramos scores in Ronaldo's absence
AC Milan striker Goncalo Ramos has scored in all three starts while Ronaldo has been out. Portugal host Denmark on November fourteenth, then visit Wales three days later.
