## RPKI Coverage Grows
RPKI now protects 70.3% of internet routes, up from 54.0% in September 2025.
## China Drives Most Growth
China's share of valid routes jumped from 3.7% to 83.0% in one year.
## Invalid Routes Rarely Travel
Only 2 vantage points see invalid routes, 71% reach just one vantage point.
## Country-Level Impact Varies
Spain has 28.2% invalid routes but 0.057% when weighted by vantage points.
## IPv6 Outpaces IPv4
IPv6 routes now have 79% RPKI coverage versus IPv4's 68%.
## RPKI Has Gaps
16.2% of IPv4 routes have open windows allowing more specific routes.
## Missing RPKI Records Happen
Saudi Telecom lost RPKI protection on 19 routes between March 30 and April 13.
## ASPA Validation Starts
9.7% of observed routing passes ASPA checks, up from 6.2% a year earlier.
## Syrian Telecom's Gap
Syrian Telecom's record misses four carriers handling 84% of its traffic.
## PCCW's 2008 Incident
PCCW Global passed Pakistan Telecom's YouTube announcement in 2008.
## What RPKI Does Not Do
RPKI validates origin but not path, so attacks can still succeed.
## What Operators Can Do
Publish ROAs for all routes, leave maxLength unset, check records.
## IPinfo Tracks RPKI
IPinfo tracks RPKI status daily at ipinfo.io/data/rpki.
## Methodology Details
All figures from IPinfo's routing and RPKI datasets, one snapshot per day.
## Why This Matters
RPKI protects most routes but gaps remain for security and reliability.
## Key takeaway

RPKI now protects 70.3% of internet routes, a 16.4 percentage point increase from 54% in September 2025.
