## A statement Week 1 win
Lamar Jackson went 17 of 25 for 324 yards and ran for 40 more. He scored one touchdown passing and one rushing as Baltimore beat the Colts 41-23.
## Wilson sees nobody better
Russell Wilson is retired and last played for the Giants. On CBS's "Set, Hut!" show, he said no one in the league runs the ball like Jackson.

> He's as good as it gets. There's not anybody better than Lamar Jackson in terms of his ability to run
## Ahead of Michael Vick
Wilson called Vick special. He still thinks Jackson could finish as the greatest dynamic quarterback ever and says people underrate how hard his plays are.

> Lamar Jackson may be No. 1 when it's all said and done
## Speed and an arm
Wilson joked about Jackson passing him on the all-time QB rushing list in 2024 and guessed he runs a 4.31 40. He also liked how pairing him with Derrick Henry keeps defenses guessing.

> I think that his ability to throw the ball is what also makes him really special
## A new era in Baltimore
Jesse Minter, who ran the Chargers defense, replaced John Harbaugh after Baltimore missed the 2025 playoffs. Declan Doyle came over from the Bears to run the offense.
## The new offense delivers
Jackson, a two-time MVP, said he couldn't wait to unleash the new offense. Against Indianapolis it worked, and next the Ravens host the Saints on Sunday, Sept. 20.
## Key takeaway

Wilson rates Jackson above even Michael Vick as a dynamic quarterback, and says his passing makes him as dangerous as his running does.
