## Samsung's tablet strategy shifts
Samsung updates its flagship Ultra tablet annually but alternates regular and Plus variants. This year brings a Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra with few changes and a Plus with bigger overhaul. No regular Tab S12appears.
## Plus model gets major upgrades
The Galaxy Tab S12 Plus updates the two-year-old Tab S10 Plus with a larger, brighter twelve point six-inch display, thinner design, MediaTek Dimensity nine thousand five hundred chipset, and bigger ten thousand six hundred mAh battery.
## Plus pricing reflects the changes
The Galaxy Tab S12 Plus starts at one thousand one hundred ninety-nine dollars, a two hundred dollar increase from the Tab S10 Plus. Samsung says the upgrades make the price increase worthwhile for existing owners.
## Ultra gets only modest refresh
The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra changes little from last year's Tab S11 Ultra. Its fourteen point six-inch display, eleven thousand six hundred mAh battery, and five point one millimetre thickness remain unchanged. Only the chipset and audio get upgraded.
## Both tablets share key features
Both Galaxy Tab S12 models feature bright OLED displays with one thousand six hundred nits peak brightness, IP sixty-eight ratings, seven years of Android updates, and an S Pen stylus. Four-channel spatial audio is now standard on both.
## Photoshop exclusive launches with tablets
Samsung's new tablets arrive October seventh with the Android debut of Adobe Photoshop for Tablets, exclusive to Galaxy Store for six months. The software includes Adobe's AI features, tablet-optimized interface, and S Pen support.
## Key takeaway

Samsung released the Galaxy Tab S12 Plus with significant upgrades and the Tab S12 Ultra with minimal changes, both arriving October seventh with new Photoshop software.
