## Seahawks' slow start
Sam Darnold avoids comparing this season to last year, calling it the 2026 Seahawks.

> I’m not going to compare last year and this year. It’s the 2026 Seahawks. There are a lot of things that we need to get better at, and I’ll just leave it at that.
## Offseason moves
General manager John Schneider made moves to maintain team momentum but early results are mixed.
## Running game struggles
Kenneth Walker III leads NFL in yards per carry but running back injuries and poor performance hurt the game.
## Rashid Shaheed's role
Shaheed re-signed for $51 million but struggles to incorporate consistently in offense.
## Defensive changes
Dante Fowler Jr. added but has only one tackle in six games after Boye Mafe signed with Bengals.
## Cornerback situation
Seattle added cornerbacks but some face legal issues or play sparingly.
## 2026 draft class
Price and Clark's rookie seasons bucked by injuries, with minimal impact from other draft picks.
## Offensive coordinator
Brian Fleury hired after Kubiak left but team struggles with scoring and third-down conversions.
## Current standings
Seahawks sit 3-3 with home game against Kansas City next.
## Coach's statement
Coach Mike Macdonald says they're evaluating solutions, not questioning people.

> We’re not questioning people. We’re evaluating. We’re finding solutions. I’m responsible for the performance of the team, so we have to do a great job of that. I believe in our guys. I believe in all of our guys.
## Key takeaway

Seahawks' 2026 offseason moves have not yet delivered results as their running game and defense struggle with early returns.
