## Market opens lower

The markets slipped further into the red, with the Sensex falling 503 points, or 0.60%, to 73,265.23, while the Nifty 50 declined 169.45 points, or 0.74%, to 22,641.90.

HCL Technologies, Power Grid, Asian Paints and Tech Mahindra were among the key laggards, falling between 1.58% and 2.14%.

The Sensex and Nifty recovered from their early lows but continued to trade in the red.
