## Baz takes a liner
Bo Bichette hit a 105.1 mph line drive that struck Shane Baz near his right elbow. Baz was in pain right away.

> The line drive off Bo Bichette’s bat was scorched at 105.1 mph
## One pitch told enough
Baz tried one warmup pitch after the hit and sailed it to the backstop. Baltimore pulled him with no outs in the fifth.
## Wolfram takes over
Left-hander Grant Wolfram replaced Baz. The Mets led 3-2 when Baz left after four innings, three runs allowed and 68 pitches.
## Mets chipped early
New York scored in each of the first three innings. Carson Benge’s homer in the third put the Mets ahead.
## Orioles answered with power
Baltimore’s offense came from solo shots by Christian Encarnacion-Strand and Jeremiah Jackson off Sean Manaea in the second.
## Rotation gets thinner
Kyle Bradish is already out for the regular season with a lower abdominal strain. If Baz misses time, Baltimore’s rotation gets tighter fast.
## Key takeaway

Baz’s injury could stretch an Orioles rotation already missing Kyle Bradish for the final two weeks.
