## A first No. 1
Sienna Spiro's ballad "Great Expectation" has taken the top of the Official U.K. Singles Chart, knocking Ella Langley's "Choosin' Texas" down to No. 2.

> Pop superstar-in-waiting Sienna Spiro has landed her first No. 1
## Twelve years in waiting
At 20, the London-born singer is the youngest British female artist to hit No. 1 since Becky Hill did it in July 2014 with "Gecko (Overdrive)."
## The year before the win
She first broke the top 40 in October 2025 with "Die on This Hill," which peaked at No. 9 twice, then stacked up hits like "You Stole the Show," "The Visitor" and "Pure."
## A slow climb, not a spike
"Great Expectation," from her debut album Visitor, entered at No. 32 in July and inched upward for weeks, hitting No. 2 on Sept. 4 before finishing the job.
## The rest of the top five
Hugel, Imael Angel and Ultra Nate sit at No. 3 with "Movin' to the Sun," Stella Lefty's "Boston" holds No. 4, and "Rein Me In" rounds it out after 23 weeks on top.
## Old songs, new peaks
Dua Lipa's 2024 single "Training Season" jumped 11 spots to No. 7 on social virality, Tame Impala's "Loser" reached No. 10, and Miguel's "Sure Thing" returned at No. 27.
## Key takeaway

Spiro's No. 1 wasn't an overnight viral spike, it was a year of top 40 hits and a nine-week climb from No. 32.
