## What is the Sirui BH-60?
The Sirui BH-60 2-in-1 Photo & Video Head combines stills and video capabilities in one hybrid tripod head.
## Key features
Ball action for stills, fluid pan-and-tilt for video, 5kg counterbalance, and 360-degree panning range.
## Tilt and swivel limits
Maximum tilt and swivel range of +/-40 degrees prevents portrait orientation shooting without additional gear.
## Mode selector ring
Three settings: Photo Mode for full movement, Transition Mode for smooth transitions, Video Mode for locked tilt and pan.
## No built-in leveling base
Requires separate leveling base for stable horizon during panning on uneven terrain.
## Panning handle limitations
9-inch handle attaches only to the right side, limiting left-handed use.
## Counterbalance system
5kg counterbalance spring provides stability without adjustable weight settings.
## QR plate safety features
Red pop-up anti-twist lugs prevent camera twisting during panning, especially for video.
## Price comparison
Priced at $219 / £199 / AU$355, cheaper than Manfrotto XPRO Ball Head but more expensive than Benro FS20PRO.
## Alternatives
Benro FS20PRO costs $85 / £100 / AU$215 with 90-degree tilt and swivel, while 3 Legged Thing AirHed Cine CC costs $249 / £229 / AU$799.
## Performance for stills
Smooth ball action with firm locking and minimal sag for quick stills setup.
## Performance for video
Fluid pan-and-tilt with 5kg counterbalance for stable video shots.
## Why it's a compromise
Limited tilt range prevents vertical shooting, no portrait orientation, and no built-in leveling base.
## Verdict
Good hybrid head but not ideal for all shooting scenarios without extra gear.
## Key takeaway

Sirui BH-60 2-in-1 Photo & Video Head offers quick stills and smooth video but can't shoot portrait angles without extra gear.
