## Official Sonic Discord launched
Sega created an official Sonic the Hedgehog Discord server on October 5, 2026, for fans to share their love for the Blue Blur.
## Server descends into chaos
Mere hours after launch, members flooded the chat with inappropriate images, memes, and profane messages forcing moderators to briefly lock it down.
## Server rules prohibit harmful content
The server requires family-friendly posts, protection of personal information, and kindness while banning political campaigning, religious promotion, and major story spoilers.
## AI-generated content banned
Sega explicitly banned AI-generated creative content including art, writing, music, videos, and Eggman dating simulators from the server.

> Human-made Eggman Dating Simulators are (probably) OK, but why would you do this?
## Server temporarily locked
Moderators temporarily locked the server after users violated rules with inappropriate content and profanity.
## Sega warns of permanent removal
Users who violate rules may be removed without warning, and Sega urges fans to follow the rules closely to avoid permanent bans.
## Key takeaway

Sega's new Sonic Discord server shut down after hours of inappropriate content and profanity.
