## No claim form needed
Sony will deposit PlayStation Store credit straight into eligible US PSN accounts. Anyone who bought a qualifying digital game between April 1, 2019 and December 31, 2023 was enrolled automatically.
## Nobody gets paid yet
Judge Araceli Martínez-Olguín has to grant final approval at a fairness hearing before a cent moves. That hearing starts October 15 in San Francisco.
## Expect a dollar or two
More than 4.4 million accounts qualify. After lawyers take their cut, the typical share works out to about a dollar or two of credit per eligible purchase.

> a less-than-princely sum of a dollar or two in store credit per eligible purchase
## Only certain games count
The game needed a retail download voucher before April 2019, at least 200 voucher redemptions, and a price rise of 50 cents or more afterward. Bloodborne, Until Dawn and No Man's Sky made the list.
## How the math works
Attorneys can request 25 percent plus expenses and $30,000 in service awards, leaving roughly $5.89 million for 4,407,533 accounts. Lead counsel says individual payouts run $0.91 to $33.66.

> individual recoveries should range from $0.91 to $33.66 in PlayStation Store credit
## The vouchers that vanished
Agustin Caccuri sued in May 2021 after Sony stopped supplying retailers like Amazon and GameStop with download codes, killing the only price competition digital PS games had.

> sacrificed short-term profits for long-term gain
## Five years of court fights
A judge tossed the first complaint in 2022, then upheld a rewritten one in 2023. Sony tried to kill the class action with its terms-of-service waiver, lost in May 2024, and settled.
## Nothing actually changes
Settling is not an admission, retail vouchers are not coming back, and the store stays the only place to buy digital PS games. A $2.7 billion London case over the same pricing awaits judgment.

> settlements paid in credits rather than cash are "generally disfavored"
## Key takeaway

If you bought a qualifying digital PS game between April 2019 and December 2023, credit arrives automatically after the October 15 hearing, but expect a dollar or two, not a shopping spree.
