## Stallone's surprise appointment
Stallone revealed he didn't sign up for Trump's special Hollywood ambassadorship role.
## Trump's Hollywood ambassadorship
Trump named Stallone, Jon Voight, and Mel Gibson as special envoys to bring Hollywood back bigger, better, and stronger.
## Stallone learned via TV
Stallone said he discovered his appointment while watching TV, asking 'What? Really?'

> Well, it just happened... I was watching TV one night and they go, 'So Stallone and Mel Gibson and Jon Voight will be...'
## Stallone's concerns
Stallone called Hollywood 'feudal states' with 'little kingdoms' and said it wouldn't work with Mel Gibson and Jon Voight.

> Hollywood, I guess it's like feudal states. They have their little kingdoms. You don't go in and tell six studios how to do things.
## Stallone's response to Trump
Stallone thanked Trump but said 'it's impossible' and left the role.

> I said thank you and ciao, because it's impossible
## Voight's tax credit plans
Voight said Hollywood could see an immediate explosion of energy with federal film tax credits.

> If we get on an even keel with the rest of the world's tax benefits, if we get that break, there's going to be an explosion of energy
## Key takeaway

Stallone said he learned about Trump's Hollywood ambassadorship while watching TV and deemed it unworkable.
