## Rockets media day kicks off season
The Houston Rockets held media day on Tuesday, marking the official start of the 2026 NBA training camp season. It's typically a time for optimism as players return in shape and coaches prepare their game plans.
## Adams brings honest perspective
Steven Adams stands out among players for bringing genuine honesty to media day. On Tuesday, he delivered a prediction that caught everyone's attention.
## GTA 6 will tank November performance
Adams predicted that NBA and NFL performance will plummet in November when Grand Theft Auto 6 launches. He expects the impact to affect not just players but coaches and scouts too.

> GTA is dropping. So look at NFL, look at all the leagues and watch them plummet, mate.
## Coaches and scouts will suffer too
Adams wasn't just talking about players getting distracted. He predicted that coaching and scouting performance will be horrendous in November as well, though he expects things to bounce back in December.

> The coaching and scouts are gonna be horrendous, mate. Just for the month of November.
## GTA 6 is unprecedented in scale
It's been 13 years since Grand Theft Auto 5 released in 2013. When GTA 6 drops on November 19, Adams expects it to be on a completely different level than typical game releases like Call of Duty.
## Human element impacts sports performance
Adams highlighted how off-court and off-field activities affect athletic performance. While usually isolated to individual players, he thinks GTA 6's release will have league-wide impact across all sports.
## Key takeaway

Steven Adams joked that Grand Theft Auto 6's November release will cause a noticeable dip in NBA and NFL performance as players and coaches get distracted by the highly anticipated game.
