## Kitchen Intervention
Jess and Jonathan Nahon of Sugarhouse chose the Brooklyn Heights Designer Showhouse kitchen as their starting point.

> It was the room we responded to, the one we felt needed us most
## 25-Day Build Challenge
The homeowner had to approve permanent changes before a 25-day build kicked off.
## Ceiling Camouflage
Sugarhouse used faux beams and House of Hackney wallpaper to hide three different ceiling heights.
## Dining Room Definition
They added a partial wall with arched opening to give the dining room a logical stopping point.

> Honestly, the space felt like a hallway
## Kitchen Island Upgrade
Sugarhouse wrapped existing kitchen island base with new wood, added legs and a countertop for social space.

> Maximizing the storage prevented people from really congregating
## Fridge Vinyl Wrap
They covered the stainless fridge with a color-matched printed vinyl wrap called a 'giant sticker'.

> It’s a giant sticker!
## Stone Backsplash
Sugarhouse swapped gray marble counters for Artistic Tile’s Melange stone with pinks and creams.

> Because that marble has such personality, we had to find something that matched that level of theatrics
## Hood Finish
They boxed in the existing hood and finished with Midas Metall powder coating for a custom look.
## Floor Choice
The homeowner rejected floor replacement, which later improved the space with darker walls and warmer lighting.

> Everybody thought we swapped out the floors anyway
## Key takeaway

Sugarhouse designers completed a Brooklyn Heights kitchen renovation in 25 days with faux beams and a vinyl fridge wrap.
