## Taylor admits Coalition failures
Angus Taylor told CPAC Australia in Brisbane on Saturday that Coalition governments got some important things wrong, including signing up to net zero and allowing immigration numbers to creep up.

> Your frustrations about where we let you down in the recent past are understandable and reasonable.
## Hanson attacks Taylor at conference
Pauline Hanson called Taylor a smarmy management consultant and told CPAC attendees they should not trust the Coalition, moments after his speech to the conservative conference.

> Australians despise Albanese and quite frankly, they don't want some smarmy management consultant taking his place either.
## Taylor worked as management consultant
According to his own website, Taylor worked as a management consultant before entering politics, including at global consulting firm McKinsey.
## Hanson criticises Coalition on net zero
Hanson pointed out the former Coalition government had made a commitment to net zero, a pledge since abolished by Taylor, and instituted the eSafety commissioner, both of which drew boos from the audience.

> They signed us up to net zero, so why would we trust them to get us out of it?
## Hanson offers Coalition cooperation
Despite repeated criticism, Hanson said One Nation would work with the Liberals and Nationals to remove the Labor government, and urged CPAC attendees to put the Coalition second on their ballot papers behind One Nation.

> One Nation will work with the Liberals and Nationals to remove this Labor government.
## Taylor heckled over immigration target
Taylor received boos when he mentioned his net overseas migration target of one hundred thirty thousand then one hundred sixty thousand in years three and four of his plan, and faced loud heckling when asked…

> I'm splitting nothing.
## Hanson receives standing ovation
Hanson was the best received of the three conservative leaders at CPAC, receiving a standing ovation as she took the stage and even more raucous applause as she finished.
## CPAC continues with more speakers
CPAC continues over Saturday and Sunday. Other conservative speakers include One Nation MP Barnaby Joyce, former British prime minister Liz Truss, and shadow ministers Dan Tehan and Sarah Henderson.
## Key takeaway

Angus Taylor acknowledged Coalition failures on net zero and immigration at CPAC Australia in Brisbane, but faced heckling and criticism from Pauline Hanson, who called him a smarmy management consultant while offering to work with the Coalition to defeat Labor.
