## The cheap Xbox that punches up
The Series S is the digital-only, weaker sibling of the Series X, but it plays every game the bigger box does for a lot less money.

> the Series S can still play all the games that release for the Series X while being much cheaper
## Meet the GTX 1650 SUPER
From Nvidia's discontinued GTX line, the 1650 SUPER lands closest to the Series S when you want a PC build in the same class.

> The 1650 SUPER from Nvidia's now discontinued GTX graphics card line comes closest in terms of direct comparison.
## A console is a sealed box
Everything in the Series S is tuned for games. On a PC, a great card still stalls behind a weak CPU, thin RAM, or an OS built for everything else.
## Where the Nvidia card wins
The 1650 SUPER boosts to 1725 MHz against the Lockhart GPU's 1565 MHz ceiling, and its texture fill rate is 138 versus 125.2.
## Where the console wins
The Series S carries 8GB at 224 GB/s against the card's 4GB at 192 GB/s, and its RDNA 2 architecture adds ray tracing the 1650 SUPER cannot do.
## One ends, one keeps going
A used 1650 SUPER runs about $100 and handles Red Dead Redemption 2, and you can upgrade it later. The Series S is where the road stops.

> The Series S is an end-of-the-road proposition, but a PC allows you to keep it alive long after this console generation ends.
## Key takeaway

The GTX 1650 SUPER trades blows with the Series S on raw specs, but the console wins on memory and ray tracing while the PC wins on upgrades.
