## Roomix Transition Toddler Bed review
Hattie Evans tested the Roomix Transition Toddler Bed during her daughter's move from cot to first bed.
## 4.3 star rating
The bed received a 4.3 out of 5 star rating from MadeForMums based on assembly, comfort, style, sturdiness, and value for money.
## Price and availability
The Roomix Transition Toddler Bed RRPs from £369.99 with customisable options and is available from Roomix.
## Montessori-inspired design
The bed is Montessori-inspired, designed to support toddlers' independence and safety during the cot-to-bed transition from around 18 months.
## Low height for independence
The bed sits low to the floor, allowing toddlers to climb in and out independently with rounded edges for reassurance.
## First impression
Hattie described the bed as 'huge' but felt right, making her daughter's room feel grown up without making her seem older.
## Squeaky side rail
The side rail with the opening squeaks regardless of how much it is tightened, making any movement in the bed noisy.
## Smooth transition
Hattie's daughter actually asked to go to bed for the first time, sleeping through the night independently most nights.
## Assembly process
The bed frame took less than 20 minutes to assemble with a pre-installed locking mechanism, but drawers required more time due to incorrect instructions.
## Under-bed storage
The under-bed drawers added storage space but made cleaning underneath the bed difficult without removing the drawers.
## Modular design
The bed is modular, allowing for future additions like legs to raise it off the ground or drawers for storage as the child grows.
## Sustainability
The bed arrived in recyclable cardboard packaging with paper wrapping, filling two green recycling bins.
## Value for money
Hattie considers the bed worth the premium price due to its long-term use and modular design.
## Recommendation
Hattie recommends the small double size for families with space, as it allows parents to sleep beside their child when needed.
## Key takeaway

Hattie Evans found the Roomix Transition Toddler Bed helped her daughter transition from cot to bed smoothly, with the bed being sturdy, modular, and worth the premium price.
