## Rain Delays Start
The start was delayed by 30 minutes due to a pre-race downpour which soaked half of the circuit, most prominently turns 2 and 3, where there was a large quantity of standing water.
## Russell Crashes
Russell grabbed the lead from Verstappen off the line in tricky conditions, but lost control through the final corner, spearing into a light collision against the pit wall before sliding across the straight.
## Russell's Explanation
Russell said, 'I came through the corner, had more battery deployment than I thought, and it pushed me wider and I just went on the white line. Silly mistake, big consequences.'
