## Vesta raises $30M for mortgage AI
Vesta has raised thirty million dollars in Series B funding to expand AI agents handling mortgage origination work, including underwriting decisions. Conversion Capital led the round.

## Agents handle 40% of mortgage tasks
Lenders on Vesta's platform originate more than one hundred billion dollars of mortgages a year. About forty percent of tasks running through Vesta are now handled by agents and automated workflows.
## Europe restricts automated lending now
The AI Act puts systems that evaluate creditworthiness in its high-risk class. GDPR Article twenty two already restricts decisions made solely by automated means where they carry legal or similarly significant effects.
## Key takeaway

Vesta raised thirty million dollars in Series B funding to expand AI agents that handle mortgage underwriting and origination, though European regulation already restricts automated lending decisions.
