## Whalefall
Austin Abrams plays a college kid trapped inside a sperm whale's stomach with one hour of oxygen.

> According to press notes for the deeply silly and painfully sappy Whalefall, while it has never happened, a sperm whale could swallow a person.
## Austin Abrams
After mutating into a tentacled monster in Resident Evil, he battles a vicious giant squid.

> After mutating into a tentacled monster in Resident Evil, and here doing battle with a vicious giant squid, Austin Abrams deserves cephalopod compensation pay.
## Whalefall
The film takes itself way too seriously as a nature survival thriller.

> Forget Jonah, forget Geppetto and Pinocchio, this is a nature survival thriller set firmly in the real world — even if it plays more like imitation sci-fi — about a college kid who works out his daddy issues while trapped inside the multi-chambered stomach of a big-ass cetacean with roughly an hour’s worth of oxygen.
## Key takeaway

Austin Abrams' film Whalefall fails as a serious nature thriller after his Resident Evil transformation.
