## New Smart Message Text Actions
WhatsApp detects phone numbers, dates, addresses, and email addresses in messages to suggest quick shortcuts automatically.
## How Text Actions Work
When the app recognizes one of these formats, it marks the text with a dotted underline for users to tap and see available actions.
## Available Actions
For phone numbers, users can copy, add to contacts, or place a call. For dates, they can add to calendar, copy, or create events.
## Address Actions
For addresses, users can copy or open the location in maps without sharing messages with the server.
## End-to-End Encryption
The feature generates text actions on the device without sharing messages with the server, preserving end-to-end encryption.
## Android and iOS Rollout
WhatsApp is rolling out smart message text actions on the latest versions of WhatsApp for Android and iOS.
## Meta AI Chats
Users can create AI-powered chats with Meta AI directly within conversations using a custom profile picture and chat name.
## AI Photo Expansion
WhatsApp introduces AI-powered photo expansion that generates new content around the edges of images without stretching the original.
## iOS Photo Expansion
iOS users can also expand photos using the drawing editor with similar AI-powered tools to Android users.
## Key takeaway

WhatsApp now offers smart text actions for phone numbers, dates, addresses, and emails in chats.
