## Wrexham's Record Spending Fails
Wrexham were hoped to turn a corner after their record $48 million summer transfer spend but now face questions after collecting just one point from their last two matches.
## Crowd Disappointment
Some sections of the Racecourse Ground crowd booed the team at full-time on Tuesday after a lackluster performance against West Bromwich Albion.
## Similarities to Last Season
Wrexham's poor start this season mirrors their poor start to last season despite recording their best-ever finish in the second tier.
## Best-Ever Finish
Wrexham finished seventh in the second tier, securing a playoff spot under this season's revised format.
## Supporter Divisions
Some supporters believe patience is key as new signings settle and key players return from injury.
## Criticism of Ambitions
Others argue Wrexham cannot afford to play catch-up after their record summer spending and clear Premier League ambitions.
## Parkinson Retains Support
Phil Parkinson retains the faith of co-chairmen Rob Mac and Ryan Reynolds despite poor results.
## One Win Away
Wrexham are theoretically one win away from 10th place, a position that would likely silence some alarm bells.
## One Defeat Away
Wrexham are also one defeat away from the relegation zone and have yet to beat any teams below them.
## Déjà Vu
Wrexham were 18th at this stage last season with 10 points from their first 10 matches, now 17th with 11 points.
## Last Season's Results
Ipswich Town were 11th last season and secured promotion, while Derby County finished eighth from 21st.
## Tactical Concerns
Wrexham remain inferior to league's best teams and have yet to evolve tactically beyond last season's foundations.
## Kieffer Moore's Moment
Kieffer Moore looked to deliver another moment of individual quality against West Brom in midweek.
## Josh Windass's Past
Josh Windass scored seven of Wrexham's 13 goals in closing weeks last season but is currently injured.
## Transfer Window Concerns
Wrexham allowed defenders Dan Scarr and Lewis Brunt to leave but brought in only one replacement.
## CEO and Director
Wrexham now have a CEO and sporting director who did not appoint Phil Parkinson.
## Key takeaway

Wrexham's record $48 million summer transfer spend hasn't improved results after one point from last two matches.
