## Yakuza's quiet spinoff
Yakuza: The Man Who Erased His Name is a 2023 interquel game about Kazuma Kiryu's exile after Yakuza 6.

> We could have just told of Kiryu’s past through a thirty-minute interlude as part of Like a Dragon 8 [ Infinite Wealth ], but we decided it would be a lot more interesting as a game of its own
## Kiryu's lonely exile
Kiryu works with the Daidoji Clan after Yakuza 6's government conspiracy forces him into hiding.

> Kiryu must work with the Daidoji Clan, a shadowy organization of spies and fixers
## Identity as Joryu
Kiryu fakes his death to become Joryu, a secret agent with identity-concealing sunglasses and magic cigarettes.

> Kiry: he assumes the identity of the secret agent Joryu after faking his own death
## Gloomy rock bottom
Kiryu spends time meditating in temples or smoking cigarettes, isolated from everyone he knows.

> Yakuza players will be accustomed to seeing Kiryu with the odds stacked against him, but this is a gloomy rock bottom like never before
## Compact gameplay
The game runs 15-20 hours, focusing on Osaka's Sotenbori district and Yokohama's Isezaki Ijincho.

> Compared to the mainline Yakuza games, The Man Who Erased His Name is a brief, compact experience, just 15-20 hours compared to the usual 60+
## Discounted now
PlayStation Store discounts the game from $49.99 to $9.99 through November 21.

> Best of all, The Man Who Erased His Name is significantly lowered-price on the PlayStation Store right now, discounted from $49.99 to $9.99
## Key takeaway

Yakuza: The Man Who Erased His Name delivers intense character drama at $9.99 with a November 21 sale end.
