## YouTube gets customizable feeds
You'll soon add tabs to YouTube with content you choose. Type a description, let YouTube populate it, then refine by rating videos. Rolling out soon in the US across web, mobile, and TV.
## Comments get GIFs and group chat
YouTube is adding GIF support to comments on videos and Shorts. Direct messaging is also getting group chat, available first in the US, UK, Singapore, Brazil, and some European countries.
## Ask YouTube gets smarter
The AI chat feature is expanding with conversational product reviews, organized video recommendations, and comparison tables in search. It will also help in YouTube Music with playlist creation and artist info.
## Podcast preview powered by AI
YouTube Music subscribers will get a weekly AI-generated spoken preview of recommended podcasts called Your Podcast Lineup. Rolling out later this year to Music subscribers only.
## Creators get AI editing tools
YouTube Create app is getting a Gemini-powered conversational editing feature. Creators can test up to three video versions with expanded A/B testing. Ask Studio suggests improvements for pacing, framing, and thumbnails, even generating them with AI.
## Live streams get matched and dubbed
YouTube will use live matchmaking to merge streams from creators who don't know each other. Live Showdown lets streamers compete on a leaderboard for chats and Super Chats. Live autodubbing starting early next year will translate streams in real time for international viewers.
## 40 percent of views cross borders
YouTube found that 40 percent of live watch time comes from viewers outside the creator's home country. Live autodubbing will help creators reach these international audiences by translating streams in real time.
